This page provides more information for people interested in our forthcoming beginners course. Below is information on the course curriculum and what you will need to bring to the course, if you should choose to attend.
Every beginners course takes place under the supervision of an Archery GB-licensed coach with the assistance of experienced archers.
During the outdoor season the course is run over 3 consecutive weekend afternoons (weather permitting). During the indoor season the course is run over 4 consecutive Saturday mornings.
During the indoor course, candidates will be instructed in how to shoot barebow and freestyle target archery using a recurve bow. The outdoor course will also include a chance to try clout archery and demonstrations of other bow styles (depending upon availability).
During the indoor season, each of the 4 course training sessions lasts about 2 hours while during the summer outdoor season each of the three sessions lasts approximately 3 and a half hours including a break for refreshments.
What to bring
